A downloadable game

SpiritSurge is a turn-based, classic RPG set in the odd-yet-fantastical world of Launell. You fill the shoes of Nathaniel Andrews, a citizen of the chaotic country Conterra. He and his peers find themselves unwillingly wrapped up in the machinations of the many corporeal and spiritual powers that be, engaging in combat when needed.

Combat is focused on modularity and using the varied kits of each character to fill a role that is needed , from battle to battle. Vigilance is rewarded, as most enemies have distinct strategies that entail certain weaknesses and strengths. Adaptation is key! Cooldowns and certain conditions make sure to create a balance between heavy hitting showstoppers and ol' reliables. Every character has a degree of self-sufficiency and depth to their playstyle, so try and experiment to see what works for you! This demo provides two Acts of the overarching game, wrapped up in a single chapter, providing 2-6 hours of gameplay, depending on how much you explore and invest yourself, as there is plenty of stuff to do that's out of the way.

Story:

The planet of Launell has seen much over the eons it has been populated. 6 races reside on its surface, all gifted with the marvelous abilities of mental powers. The plot of the game takes place at the turn of the 5th millennium of the Conterrian calendar. Conterra is a small country with a history wreathed in spirituality and otherworldliness. Throughout your playthrough you will explore the ins and outs of the country, meet friendly (or not so friendly) faces, visit intriguing places and come toe to toe with the dark remnants of Conterra's beginnings. The plot of the first act leads Nathaniel into the rank and musty basement of his boarding school as a student goes missing, leading to an otherworldly turn of events.

Technicalities:
This game was built with a Fullscreen in mind. You can play in definitive Fullscreen with the simple press of the F5 key.

Quick: Q & A:

Q: Mac compatibility?

A: Sadly no official Mac compatibility yet; though you can try using Wineskin to play.

Q: I found a bug/typo/error!

A: It's probably best to bring that to the development discord, it's the best place to contact the devs directly through that. -There's more Q & A stuff on there, and a growing community of people, so check that out if you're interested.

Q: Can I use my old save from the older builds?

A: Yes, but I personally don't recommend it. Bugs can occur when transferring an old save to a new build, so starting from scratch is most reliable. This will be looked into as development proceeds so transitioning builds will be smooth.
